Just Cute Bears Challenge # 1 - One of the Girls!

Hello, good afternoon! There is a new challenge blog called Just Cute Bears which has started this week, so I thought I would dig out this cute little Popcorn Bear stamp to use. I then realised that I didn't have a stamp-block large enough to accommodate it! I had a brainwave and stuck it onto a QK Rev die pack and voila it stamped out beautifully!

The theme of the challenge is 'One for the Girl's', this image fits in well with it. I have decoupaged the single flower and have coloured the image in with copics. I have kept it quite simple, as the image is so large. Orange and Yellow Co-Ordination cardstock, Papershaper scallop punch, bling and button from stash and the sentiment came with the image.

Am off to do some crafting with Georgia this afternoon. Am so pleased to announce, that a story that she wrote at school, has one a competition and has been chosen to be published in a book called 'Tiny Treasures - East & West Sussex, which will be available to buy worldwide from April. Am so proud of her! Ever since she received a handwritten letter from Jacqueline Wilson, she has been writing stories and wants to be an author, so watch this space, she may be famous one day, lol!

Enjoy your Saturday, whatever you may be doing, take care hugs Heidi xxxx

Good evening, hope your day has been a bit quieter than mine, lol! I have been shopping with my lovely daughter, and boy can she shop! My feet are killing me! It was lovely to spend some girlie time together, we don't do it very often. I did however get my way, and I dragged her kicking and screaming into a craft shop where I then shopped for England! A good day was had by all and she is treating us all to take-out so thanks Amy!

Now to my sneeky peak! The Willow Sketchie Challenge is back tommorrow and the lovely Sharon has been very busy creating some lovely new characters. Here is my DT card for our first challenge of 2010. Please do pop by the blog and see what the other design team members have made.

Anyway, the sketch that Ger created inspired me to join in over at Sunday Sketch & Stamp Challenge . I am also trying to use up all of my existing stash as I have far too much. Also I found some QK dies that haven't even been out of the packet, so they will be getting an airing pretty soon.

To my card, I have used Bark Bazzill cardstock, some super Sassafras, Serendipity 'Hog Heaven' pinstriped paper, MS Flourish punch, QK Pin die, Hero Arts sentiments and a cool Anya Ian dude, I got for Christmas from a blogging buddy.

My 'Little Claire' image is called 'Kitty & Flowers', I was given this little beauty for my birthday and have only just found her again. I have a few birthday cards to make for cat-loving friends, so she will be used a few times. Cardstock is Bazzill basics, flower punches in two sizes from Papershapers. My sentiment is from Hero Art's, button and bling from stash.

It's my turn again to do the sketch/theme for the Moving Along With The Times Weekly Challenge . I am also sponsoring the challenge this week and the prize on offer are some super cute 'Fairy Doodle' Decoupage sheets, some ribbons and embellishments. Do pop on over via the link above to see what is on offer!

Hello, well it's Day 2 of 'Snowday' here in Sussex. The local schools are shut and the hub's is working from home again, so not a lot of peace here for me at the moment, lol! We just had great fun having a snowball fight, in which the girl's and I did an 'Elf' and managed to get David with large snowballs, great fun but I can't feel my toes at the moment, lol!

Anyway, here is my DT entry using the wonderful Hazel's sketch over at Moving Along With The Times , the theme this week is 'LOVE', so get your thinking caps on! Two Challenges - One Card!

Good evening, well the forcaster's were spot-on for a change! We have at least six inches of snow here in Sussex and more is on the way! It's been lovely having my girlies and hubs home today and think the way the roads are, they will be home again tommorrow, but I haven't been able to get on my laptop as the girls have been using it all day.

Anyway, to keep warm I have made this card to enter two challenges, firstly using the sketch from Create 4 Fun and also Fab's Big Christmas Cards Challenge . Although I think my card is more winter themed, it fits into both challenges. Thought I might try and get some card's done early this year, am determined to get organised, although I did manage to make most of my cards for Christmas just in time.

To my card, my little winter Anya had to come out to play today, just right for this weather! I have coloured her in with my Copics, and have sprinkled her with some Cosmic Shimmer. The paper is My Mind's Eye, Colorful Christmas 'Bright Stripes', great papers to work with and not just for Christmas cards either. My MS Doily Lace and Artic Snowflakes got an airing along with my Woodware 'Jane Gill' sentiment circle stamps, which are just fab! Finished off with a bit of Kaisercraft bling bling!

Keep warm wherever you are, hugs Heidi xxx

Sketch & Stash Challenge # 26

Here is my entry for Sketch & Stash Challenge . It's such a great sketch and I love the fact that you can use up your old stash and neglected craft products. On that note, I have really been neglecting my CC Design stamps recently. This little cutie is called 'Heidi among the flowers'. She hasn't been out of my stamp drawer since last summer, so it's about time I gave her an airing! The DT cards are simply stunning, so do pop over and take a look.

Card Recipe : Dark brown Bazzill cardstock, Sandy Lion 'Daisy' paper, QK Nestie Scallop shape, Papershaper 'Daisy' punches in three sizes and Kaisercraft baby pink pearls, all from my stash box. My sentiment is relatively new, from a great set of three from 'Hero Arts'. I have coloured her in with Copic Ciao's.

Hope your keeping warm in your neck of the woods, my toe's haven't defrosted all day from doing the school run. Wow, what a shock to get up so early, after having lots of lovely lie-in's over Christmas! Right, there is a great film called 'The Holiday' on the box at the moment, so am off to catch it. Night, Heidi xxx

MAWTT - Challenge # 27, Nicki's Sketch/Theme

Happy New Year and good afternoon! The sun is shining here and although it's freezing outside, it's been such a lovely day. I have managed to get all of the ironing done ready for the girlie's to go back to school and all of the decorating is done, so it's time I had some ME time.

I have already posted for our Moving Along With The Times challenge, but couldn't resist making another card as the theme this week is an open one and I wanted to make good use out of my lovely FF Winter stamp. We have three prizes on offer to tempt you! 1st Prize : Debbie Moore CD Rom from Clare (Threadbare's shop), 2nd Prize : Daisy & Dandelion Stamp Set, kindly donated by The Glitter Pot and 3rd Prize : Two-week Guest Design Spot on our Design Team.

My inspiration to make this flap-card came because of the ribbon. It was wrapped around a new set of lovely pyjamas and I just loved the felt snowflake with it. I found some wonderful Bo Bunny paper, that matches perfectly, that my friend Karen gave me. Red Bazzill, a MS Edge and Artic Snowflake punch and cream jelli dots finish it off. I had to hunt around for my 'winter' sentiment from Elzybells. My friend Caz has her birthday this month, so my card is ideal for a winter birthday!

You have until Wednesday, 6th January 2010 (midnight) to enter, good luck and am looking forward to popping by your blogs to see what you have made.

Thanks for stopping by and any comments left. Big hugs Heidi xxx
